desktop systems are primarily administered by a single person), but we

what you describe there is confusing but not technically a bug or a gdm
issue, the dialog you use is an user one and the login screen is a
system one so normal users can't change
Um...this is still a bug, whether no one's done anything on it for 60
days or not.
