Title:
Rhythmbox freezes computer while playing mp3s

Status in “rhythmbox” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: rhythmbox

My computer was upgraded to the new version of Ubuntu, 11.04 I
believe. Ever since then when I play my mp3s, the music starts off
fine but then my hard drive starts to be accessed continuously and the
performance of the computer degrades to a point where I have to do a
manual shut off of the computer because everything is frozen.
