Public bug reported: Since multiarch has been enabled on amd64 installs , the apt cache now shows nearly twice as many packages. This causes apt-xapian-index to index nearly twice as many packages (ie the 100% processor usage takes significantly longer than normal). As a consequence s-c shows a duplicate i386 version of the vast majority of packages. I'm unsure how deep down the stack we should fix this.
