Oops, we actually fixed this recently; the installer should now be commenting out these entries at the end of the install. It would be helpful if you could take a recent LiveCD build and test this again. The 12.04 beta 1 images won't be recent enough; you can get the latest daily images here: http

Still present in 12.04 beta 1. Still going to mightily confuse anyone installing ubuntu without an ethernet connection. Additional symptom: there was a route via the wlan using the autoconfig ip address as a gateway, which caused problems even if I plugged a real ethernet cable in. The inst
