Resolved: Upgrade problem between versions. Remove ~/.libreoffice and
then calc will start correctly.

Ping. How can I get involved further to troubleshoot? Calc is a critical
app for me. Running 32 bit in a VM is not my preferred solution.

Same here. Calc works fine on my x86 laptop, but crashes immediately on
my AMD64 desktop.

Is this a 64 bit problem? I have identical packages on i386 and it works
fine, but on my IA64 system it fails. My IA64 system is
model name : AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4400+
