** This bug is no longer a duplicate of bug 837004 Horizontally scrolling while highlighting an item in the dash or on an indicator will open the item. ** This bug has been marked a duplicate of bug 722082 cannot change volume by scrolling on the icon when the SoundMenu is opened -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to unity in Ubuntu. Matching subscriptions: dp-unity https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/880497 Title: Unity Dash mistakenly treats horizontal scrolling as a click Status in Unity: New Status in “unity” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: affects ubuntu/unity Steps to reproduce: 1. Open Unity Dash 2. Go to the Applications Dash 3. Expand 'Installed Results' so that the scrollbar appears on the right. 4. Move your pointer over an icon, and scroll horizontally. 5. Notice that the icon gets activated as if you had clicked it. This is rather annoying when horizontal scrolling is enabled for two-finger scrolling on the touchpad, as it's very easy to accidentally issue some Button6 and Button7 events while scrolling up/down (Button4 and Button5). -- Kind regards, Loong Jin To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/880497/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : desktop-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
