I ran across this bug too. Found the same bug at brasero bugzilla: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=668405 I tested the latest master version of brasero. This bug is fixed in the master version, you can select a destination / path for the image. I hope a new version of brasero

I think this bug is relatively important because when you test the use- case of there not being enough space available in the default path, Brasero doesn't even let you click the Burn button to further select a different location for the ISO. The only way around it is to add a single small file
