Ok, good, let's keep this bug closed then, bug #936257 tracks the fixed

Seb, in my test I had set the document font to Ubuntu 11 but the default
font to Cantarell 11. If i set the default font to Ubuntu 11 there is no
scrollbar. So I guess this is definitely fixed for the default
configuration.

Julien, your screenshot doesn't have the overlay scrollbar to start
with, could make a screenshot from a stock theme? because it works fine
in a guest session here...

@seb: as a side note, I wouldn't expect "dynamic geometry handling"
anytime soo from upstream, judging by the harsh comments I got after my
bug report regarding this issue:

@seb: for the test I set my theme to Ambiance, with the Ubuntu font (at
size 11), as you can see on the screenshot. Anythin else I should check?

is it good if you use the Ubuntu theme? We adjusted the geometry for our
theme, dynamic geometry handling is an upstream issue and is tracked in
other bugs already

Thanks for the feedback. I was asking about the resolution because right
now when running on a netbook-sized screen, which do not have enough
space for the window, the patch maximizes the window. In this situation
you get scrollbars but that cannot be avoided.
What you report is different however:
@Aurélien: There is room around it. Actually the problem is that the
System Settings window uses a fixed geometry.

@Aurélien Gâteau: I still have a lot of room below it, as currently it is 641
px tall, and my resolution is 1920x1080px. So to fit on a 600px high netbook
screen it's already too high, so it wouldn't be any worse if it would get a bit
higher to fit without a scrollbar.

Attaching a screenshot with the default en_US locale and the default Ambiance
theme, and the System settings window still has a scrollbar (most probably
because of the icons added in Ubuntu) so the default geometry clearly needs to
be adjusted.
