Public bug reported: Using the latest Desktop live installer, the city detected for timezone setup is "Rainy River" when in fact it's Montreal.
ISP is Acanac which is based in Ontario but provides services in the Montreal area. I suppose I am getting IP information from Ontario, I'd like to know if any other information I can provide from this ISP could fix this problem. ** Affects: gnome-panel (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-panel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/950885 Title: Regression: Installer detects "Rainy River" instead of correct timezone Status in “gnome-panel” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Using the latest Desktop live installer, the city detected for timezone setup is "Rainy River" when in fact it's Montreal.
