Public bug reported: Presumably this is gnome-settings-daemon.
After upgrading from oneiric to precise, I found that my synaptics touchpad was always registering "clicks" by tapping on the pad. If I check the system settings, the "Enable mouse clicks with touchpad" setting is *off*, however. Changing the setting back and forth does not change the behaviour. ** Affects: gnome-settings-daemon (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: synaptics -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-settings-daemon in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/994995 Title: Synaptics touchpad ignores "mouse clicks with touchpad" setting Status in “gnome-settings-daemon” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Presumably this is gnome-settings-daemon.
