Hi Apache Airflow Community,
I hope this message finds you well.
I am writing to propose the addition of a new provider to Apache Airflow
for OpenTelemetry (https://opentelemetry.io). OpenTelemetry is an emerging
standard for instrumentation of services and applications, and recently has

Hey fellow Airflowers,
I have cut the first release candidate for the Apache Airflow Python Client
2.9.3.
This email is calling for a vote on the release,
which will last for 72 hours. Consider this my (non-binding) +1. As I’m not
a member of the PMC, Ephraim
signed the distribution.

Committers vote for AIPs is also binding according to
https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/AIRFLOW/Airflow+Improvement+Proposals
So, this is my +1 (binding) vote for all three AIPs.

Hi all,
Since feedback has died down on these AIPs, I’m calling for a vote on the first
three Data Awareness AIPs listed above.
AIP-73 Expanded Data Awareness
https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/x/TAyTEg
AIP-74 Introducing Data Assets
https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/x/QQ2TEg
AIP-75 New Ass

I really love the way the AIP has been written to target small pieces
instead
of doing everything related to versioning together.

Yeah, that does make sense.
However, I was suggesting a screen recorded demo to allow folks get a hang
of things rather than
following the recording step by step. The rationale here would be to make
people familiar with
what needs to be done and "where".
Thanks & Regards,

Screen recording is problematic - it has the problem that you need to
re-record it when something changes and it limits flexibility - we had very
good experience so far with describing the steps in the docs and correcting
any mistakes and adding clarification every time someone run it.

+1 for this change.
Also +1 for airflow_compat. I think it could be very helpful especially for
users with a lot of custom operators, and significantly reduces
the migration efforts or makes it smoother.
