In Konqueror 3.0.3-14 (Redhat Linux 8.0) I definitely do not see what you are

I'm using Stock RH8.0 and whilst I normally use Mozil
seems ok on konq 3.0.0-12 (rh linux 7.3) for me too

I use Konqueror sometimes but I don't see the problem you see. Can you
describe a little more fully?
