I have just setup a jenkins build using ibm jdk:
https://builds.apache.org/view/A-F/view/Archiva/job/archiva-all-maven-3.x-jdk-1.6-IBM-JDK16/
To see the result (grhh no ibm jdk for osx :-) ).

Hey All.
You might regret this, but ...
:-)
With
Noice!!!
I've got build errors under the IBM VM on Windows. archiva-proxy dies, but
more on that later.
Thanks for setting it up!
I was going to offer an AIX Slave node for you, if needed.

Hi All.
As a bit of background. I'm setting up a brand new instance of Archiva
1.4-M4 in AIX, udner WAS8.
The repos have been copied from the old Archiva 1.3 server, but the rest of
the setup is new.
So, in some ways it's a first time setup, in others, not.
In looking though the logs, I see
The first time you log on, even before you have created an admin user, you
can attempt to log on, and it will obviously fail.
And you get 2 * Attempts worth of error messages for each failed attempt.
We just need one.

Here is the right section of the log when attemting to set the roles for my
user:

this can happen if the repo is under scan and in the same time you are
browsing tru the ui.
Normally it's more quiet with trunk. but it's more a warning rather
than an error.

Hey all..
In setting up the new instance, I need to create a new user and set their
roles,
when I select the user, and then edit the roles, I get nothing displayed,
and I get some errors in the log.
I'm pretty sure this is it:

Hey Olivier.
Yes, this was the trunk build, the first that worked under was 8.
Might I suggest that we add in the SVN revision no into the METAINF.MF so we
can track which specific rev rather than just the M4-SNAPSHOT?

Found the thread again.
To answer your question, no I did not modify any of the files, it was a
clean scripted install.
