this has been upgraded recently so maybe a browser cache issue.
Try forcing refresh when accessing to Archiva.

Um, that was a server side error.
I've done a Ctl-F5 to dump the cache.
I've also re-installed the older M4-SNAPSHOT working version, verify that
it was ok,
Then redeployed the #1986 and reverified that it was still broken.
I even searched the FS for the file; not found. Which is consistent with
I recently upgrade to sammy.0.7.4.js.
That's why I suspect some caching with references to older version.

Yup currently it's not configurable for merged index of repository group.
There is a jira issue https://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MRM-1745 .
I hope to fix that for next release
