I went ahead and pushed this (can always revert if needed) along with all the
other changes I found that are required to update to java7.Still looking
for more. :-) Lots of places were not using ${jdk.version} like they could.

I thought this switch had already taken place with 2.14 because not
all components of 2.14 was compatible with jdk 1.6.
