Hi Willem,
Great thanks. I will prepare a docker image for building before the next
release.
Cheers!

Hi Henryk,
I can take care of this release next week. If you have time, please run some
tests when the RC is out.
BTW, I use the virtual box which is provided by the Redhat inhouse openstack
service, it quit easy for me to it setup.

My Ubuntu box went crazy after the upgrade. Now all the XMLTokenize tests
from camel-core are failing :| I can't even pass the prepare phase anumore.
It may take me some time to investigate and fix this - probably I will just
prepare new build box using Docker.
I will work on this problem to have
Fine, good luck! ;-)
It would be good, if you could also update [1] with the missing pieces. It
should be easier for the next RM...

Thanks Christian. I will add my key to 2.14.x branch as well.
I should cut the first release candidate tomorrow.
Cheers.

Yes.
And you have to provide your Apache credentials to be able to upload the
release artifacts [1].

It's not really a MUST, it's a good practice. The user can still check the
KEYS [1] file in our repo whether the key which was used to sign the
release is your key.
Unfortunately, the KEYS file doesn't contain your key. You have to update
the file first (MASTER, camel-2.15.x, camel-2.14.x).

Just add it to the exclusions.

Hi,
The RAT check now returns something like this:
grep -e ' !?' camel/examples/target/rat.txt
!? camel/examples/camel-example-spring/src/data/message2.xml
!? camel/examples/camel-example-spring/src/data/message1.xml
!? camel/examples/camel-example-spring-javaconfig/src/data/me
I've set up everything on Apache/Maven side and downloaded fresh clone of
the project to the sandbox. Now I'm checking the licenses.
I've excluded src/signatures from RAT check, as we do in the master branch.
There are still some RAT licenses issues remaining - I will handle them
tomorrow and proc

I don't recall any signing party at the last ApacheCon :) .
My key is not signed by other committers. Can I still release? I maybe
somebody can sign my key?
+1

As we need to upload the private key to sign the artifacts, it not safe for us
to just leverage the Apache CI build box if every one can click the button to
do the release.

Sounds like a plan. :) I will let you know how the release process goes on
my side later today.
And big +1 for Claus suggestions regarding the automated releases.

You're right.Maybe we can propose a different release process to ASF.
Anyway, for the next release (after 2.14.3) I can do the RM to allow rotation
between us.

I can give it a try. I feel bad about not helping you with the releases ;) .

Yeah, I think it could be good if we have more than one release manager :)
All you need to do is have a signed release key, clean build box with good
internet connection and this doc[1]. Before the release, you may need to run
some test to verify the kit is ready :)
