the discussion where to put camel-extra has been started end of last year.
GitHub was one option, but as far as I remember correctly, SourceForge was
considered as an alternative. I don’t know what the result of the discussion
actually was, but I’d say we need a decision sooner than later.

just from the side-line, those discussions I've read about (not board :-))
where mostly about the apache-extra binaries. At least that's what I read
there. Maybe one should point out there that it also affects extra sources
like for camel.

There are already some discussions on board@ and a couple other places about
what to do with the various apache-extras things. I’d wait until they decide
on those issues.
