Debian is not a supported distro, however you can test/explore by manually
installing cpu-checker from Ubuntu repos.

Can you install cpu-checker - you may need to enable specific Ubuntu repos such
as main, or download install the deb from:
https://packages.ubuntu.com/focal/cpu-checker
Once cpu-checker is installed, you can try to add your KVM/Ubuntu host.
