Hi Jacques, I don't really get what redundancy you're talking about (nor link with cited commit, nor what discussion I had with Sebastian...)
One thing is that committee-info.txt is an ASF private resource where rdf files are fully public. And RDF/DOAP files are supposed to give a full model of everything for public share. I was not at the beginning of DOAP deployment but just worked on the new projects.a.o site, then I really have no idea on initial intends: I'm just trying to guess like anybody else...
