That was the code that was donated, not ideal, but a good base for people to

I didn't investigate Apache distributing adobe bits. It doesn't make sense for
an open source foundation to do that. I am going to look into creating a
business to do that.

In theory with cache on, the md5 is not checked. What error do you see in the

It's possible the cached version doesn't match the MD5 anymore or similar, I've
raised a few installer JIRA issues along these lines.

Hi Justin,
I just tried again, this time I disable the cache. Good news is, I finished the
whole Flex SDK download with no problems.
That being said, there are two issues left:

2. The log is incorrect (you told me), causing a little confus

Hi Justin,
I just tested it in zh_CN with cache on, it still downloaded afe.jar from

Thanks,

I guess there shouldn't be a problem with me adding those targets tot he
develop branch. They will not be integrated into the usual build, but if you
explicitly specyfy to build, install and deploy the maven artifacts these steps
will be appended to the end. So it shouldn't mess up anything.

OK, I think I have fashioned a workaround, but it is past my bedtime here,
so I need someone to finish it.
If you look at our website and the recent changes, I added a bunch of
properties to flex.a.o/installer/properties/en_US.properties, then copied
it to flex.a.o/installer/properties/sdk/en_US.p

Hi,
Do we have an alternative location we can get these bits from? Looking at
google stats it probably effected 100-200 people so far (hard to tell as some
people will just close the installer rather than cancelling the name/password
popup), and is likely to effect 250+ people a day going forwa
Ok, while not a permanent solution, this [1] seems to indicate that JAR is

when the download fails?
