For those who remember meetup groups, there is an On-line Flex Meetup group ( http://www.meetup.com/OnlineFlexMeetupGroup/ ). It kind of fizzled after "Adobe November" and has been primarily inactive. But, there are still 400 or so members. I'm sure some motivated person could take it over and do great things.
The group was under John Mason's account for the longest time, but he just gave it up. I think it will vanish in 2 weeks. He nominated me as a replacement, but I just turned it down due to other commitments.
