According to FLIP-37, the null type is used to represent untyped NULL literals. Those are in particular useful when it comes to passing them to a function call. The new type inference of FLIP-65 is able to process call such as `f(NULL)`. -- This message was sent by Atlassian Jira (v8.3.4#803005)
