Since the 1.2.0 release Lucene text search has been fully integrated into Geode. We appreciate feedback and are responding to requests to improve usability.
This proposal provides a significant improvement to the current workflow for using Lucene text search with Geode. Currently a user must create a Lucene index BEFORE creating the region it will index and before loading data. This proposal describes the requirements and design approach for supporting the user's ability to add a Lucene index to an existing region that contains data.
