All,
A few months ago I worked out a spec JAR for JMS 2.0 APIs, the purpose
being to include it in apache projects. You can see the code here:
https://github.com/johnament/geronimo-specs/tree/jms2
I'd like to move this into the geronimo specs area and was looking to
discuss it further. I was

Dmitriy,
I think what Romain is referring to is other TCKs. Generally, geronimo JAR

be alpha releases that match EDRs, or alphas that are based on the final
version but with minor tweaks.

noticed:

I raised a MP Config Spec issue [1] and discussion. Based on how Payara is
doing it, I believe that Geronimo Config checking for empty strings is
incorrect. GConfig throws NoSuchElementException if the value is empty,
but it seems like this is expected behavior and should instead return empty

three new converter types, all working now.
I downgraded back to OWB 1.7.3 since it looks like they won't be signing
JARs for the release.

Since MP Config 1.0 is almost released, should we plan to release the

I'm not 100% in love with this change, and would like input from others
(e.g. Mark). the TCK expects a failure to occur, which makes sense. i'm
not sure if the default "defaultValue" was changed over time, so I'm not

Just as an FYI, I chatted with Martin from Weld to understand what's going

All,
I know Mark brought in Config to Geronimo. We have at least 3 more specs
coming in MP 1.2 (Fault Tolerance, Health, JWT Processing), possibly
Metrics and OpenTracing.
I have a fully functioning JWT Processing impl based on jose (
https://bitbucket.org/connect2id/nimbus-jose-jwt/src ) which
I noticed the following logic:
if (!hasValue) {
deploymentProblems.add(new
IllegalArgumentException("Missing converter for '" + key + "' from " +
injectionPoint));
}
The problem isn't that the converter is missing, but that the value is
missing
after. Anyway, big +1 for it.

Not to stir that pot, but does it make sense to just rename Geronimo itself

I'm assuming then for config you're talking about changing the coordinates

On the subject of serializable. We fail one of the comments in the MP Spec
(but not in the TCK!) our injected Config class is *not* serializable. But
for that to work, all config sources and all converters must be
serializable.
On Tue, Aug 8, 2017 at 6:57 AM Mark Struberg
One note - hardcoding "isAlternative" to true breaks in Weld. Unless there
is a base bean of same type, the alternative is ignored. Hence why I only
did isAlternative on the provider type, all others are just regular beans.
