Built from src bundle, started it up. Checked around UI. Looks good.
Loaded data and verified it there after restart.

That must be because I've started building the convenience binary from
the source tarball rather than from the local working copy of the
repository.
Happy to roll RC1 if folks prefer having that info. Either way I can
update the release manager docs to make sure we call out building from
the repo
