Couple questions.
1. This seems to provide a lot more information than mod_status. Is this
correct?
2. If this provides more information than mod_status, what are the implications
of running this on a shared server where local users can query Apache directly

If it’s any consolation, cPanel changed our default web server from 2.2 to 2.4
on May 2015. We still see a large percentage of customers using 2.2 though.

In the long run, this would be a fantastic change, particularly from a support
and automation perspective.
In the short run, conversion won't be fun. But that's what change does, and
isn't unique to just this.
