The first "Patch Proposed To Backport from Trunk" in 2.2.x trunk STATUS is:
* mpm worker/mpm event: Revert an old (~10yr) change to the fd Q;
move back to FIFO rather than LIFO, for more consistent performance
so that older requests don't suffer
