It's not just the highlighted code, it has a gray background as a whole.
 
I know that if the content of codeblock(tabs) is a code snippet, it has a 
background color. If it's a markdown text, it's not. 
In other words, the background color is the background color of the code 
snippet, not the background color of codeblock.
