We want to remove Zookeeper from our Kafka cluster which version to use?

Hi All,

We have a Kafka cluster [5-10 nodes] with multiple topics [with multi 
partitions] managed by the Zookeeper cluster. We want to remove the Zookeeper 
and manage the metadata using Kafka itself. I have gone through KIP 500 [Kafka] 
but nowhere it is mentioned which version of Kafka will this capability and by 
when it will be available? Please advise
