Hi,
My Jira id is maxfortun, I do not have a wiki id.

The company I work for, Dow Jones, is trying to adopt Kafka, but one of the
features we need is missing.

kafka community.
The jira is used to describe your idea briefly, display the fix version,
and other details. Also, we can keep tech discussion over there.
The KIP is used to discuss the public APIs or big changes.

that is a known issue :(
Maybe you can file a jira first and then create a google doc (or other
online doc) to describe your idea.

Dear all,
My name is Joobi and I am a software engineer with experience in working
with Kafka. I am reaching out to express my keen interest in contributing
to Kafka. Currently, I'm going through the source code and the official
documentation to better understand the project.

Matthias,
I'm able to access the wiki and jira now thank you!
I signed up to the JIRA with a slightly different email address so
wanted to double check.
Not a major problem but it would make it a bit easier for me to manage.
Thanks,

you should be all set on Jira and the Wiki.
However, I am not sure what email addresses you refer to? I am not aware
that a Jira or Wiki account is associated with an email address and if
so, I would not know if it's possible to change anything about it.

Hi Team,
I've used Kafka at my workplace and am very impressed with it.
I would like to contribute to the Kafka project and have started taking a pass
at some simple #newbie bugs where I can help.
I'm trying to take a pass at https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/KAFKA-10186

Hello,
As I use Kafka during my day-job I would like to contribute to the project
in my spare time. According the kafka.apache.org website, I need someone to
add me to the contributor list, to assign myself some JIRA tickets.
Could someone add me to the contributor list (username: gilles.dego
Hi Rajan,

Hey Neha,
I like all these ideas.
I think people have been doing a good job with the newbie label, which
is great, we should keep doing that.
I think pairing people up is a great idea. The trick is actually
figuring out who has an interest in becoming a committer and would
