If nobody else reacts on this thread, you could maybe just start to

Hello!
I know I haven't completed the 4.0.1 release yet, but I am quite keen on
trying to be the release manager for a minor release in the future.
Obviously, I am happy for anybody else with more experience to give this a
go first, I just wanted to put my hand up in case we lack other volunteers.

The release brings many new features and improvements:
- Mechanism for plugin to register metrics
- Allow running multiple versions of connector plugins
- Queue are now in preview access
- New Streams rebalance
Great news! Thanks Mickael for running the release.

Hello,
My Jira id is divya2890
Could you please grant me the necessary permissions to self-assign JIRA
issues?
Regards
Divya
Seems the Jira ticket was just not updated after the backport.
There is actually two links to GitHub one for `trunk` and one for `3.9`
and both got merged, and the commit is in `3.9` branch:
https://github.com/apache/kafka/commit/392a56423e0bc35dad47c8e83fc3a5fcc82709b0
Thanks for flagging

Hi all,
Thanks Luke for the opportunity to serve as co-release manager for the
3.9.1 release.
I'll do my best to learn the release process thoroughly. I appreciate any
feedback.
Sincerely,
TengYao

Hi all,
To help the new committer TengYao to get familiar with the release process,
I've talked with him and he is willing to be the co-release manager for
v3.9.1 release.
Thank you TengYao!

Thanks Luke.
I cherry picked a few issues that we resolved in 4.0 and were tagged
to be included in 3.9.1.

Hi Luke,
Thanks for the work on this release. I would have liked to see this PR
included, but I guess the train was missed for this one. Is it possible to
get some attention to this for the next release?
