I’m using a MaprR cluster (v5.2) which has a Hive v2.1 installed.
I had to re-built a Kylin tar ball by directly updating Hive version in
pom.xml file and compile it.
It seems everything working fine so far.
Just wondering would you foresee any issue if I do it like this way?

Currently DebugTomcat only works with HDP sandbox.
However it is possible to make it work with other hadoop env. The hadoop
config DebugTomcat uses resides in "examples\test_case_data\sandbox". Put
all necessary Hadoop site xmls there and it should connect to any Hadoop
env you want.

Also repeat my comment here:
This is expected. The query "select *" asks for all dimensions. And the
first cube "cube0615new_one" does not have all required dimensions and is
skipped. Makes sense to me.
