Hi James and Caio,
I'm sorry if you feel my previous reply was not so productive
or cooperative.
I fully agree TCM should have the test cases for opening ODF files
not only 1.1 files.
I can add test cases to Calc-1, Writer-1, Impress to open ODF files
and modify scenarios so that they include such cases. I mean
Release_sanity_scenario can have new cases instead of old 1.1 format
opening cases and 'XXX - all test cases' scenarios will just have
additional cases.
The question is who/how should prepare new sample files.
Does anyone have interest to create them?
If no one has interest to it, I will try to find
resource inside Sun.
Why are we loading up OpenOffice.org 1.x files when we are attempting
to test
functionality that only exists in OpenOffice.org 2.x files? Why have
the test
files not been replaced with 2.x versions? This sounds simple, but it
is a
very complex subject. Maybe the QA team from Sun has not taken the
time to create
these files (remember TCM originates from Sun, not the other way.) I
propose that it
is time to make these files and include functionality that is
available in 2.x in all versions. Also, I propose that en_US files be
made available for those
languages without files of their own.
Thanks James.
Naoyuki and all at qa and l10n,
now we have http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=76328 for this.
Please, provide ODF (for each one of them, if possible) files for your
language attaching them to the issue.
