Thanks for this fix.
Unfortunately the import usecase seems to always take the
example-content from the default pub and not the new pub, even if I remove
from publication.xconf.
Any hints?

orthogonal diffs against an unmodified tree, they won't apply cleanly
without manual intervention.. this one should work in one go.
please review asap and apply if there are no objections. i'm not sure
how long the patch will work without fuzz or rejects....

In this case the usecase exceptions are caught so that the application is
still partially usable. I guess we should use a more explicit
configuration
option instead.
