Hi,
As of today log4net is about one of the last logging subprojects that
still uses svn and it makes sense to me that we migrate also this
subproject over to git. What do you think?

Stephen is right with saying we need to improve the docs. Log4j1 docs
were bad, 2 is much better, but I think we can do much, much better.
