I also have a related trivial fix ready for "SOLR-14752 Zookeeper status fails
on zk 3.6.1 with prometheus enabled"
Will push to master and branch_8x, let me know if it can be merged to branch_8_6

No need for a respin for this small UI thing. But if there is an RC2, let’s
include it.

Hi Jan,
I spoke with Simon offline and we agreed I will be the release manager as
he was running in to issues. I have already started building the RC1, do
you think this bugfix should be considered for a respin?
Best regards,
Ignacio

Thanks Jan, appreciated.
Here are the drafts for the release notes of the release. Let me know if
there is something not right:

Dear all,
Based on the discussion in SOLR-14726, Slack, and in many other JIRA
issues, I am proposing to spearhead the Big Cleanup focused on
improving getting started experience, targeting Solr 9 only. This is
mostly about examples, but it also touches quite heavily on default
configuration
+1 to this effort and thanks for stepping up.
I think we shouldn't unnecessarily constrain ourselves only with what works
today: if there's something that is clearly better, let's fix/build it so
that we have a pleasant user experience. Just my two cents. Case in point:
data driven schemaless
Please vote for release candidate 1 for Lucene/Solr 8.6.2
