I am working on CMIS connector where i am passing a query like

startTime and endTime are set in exactly the way that you want. You do not
need to grovel through the database to find the time of the last job run.
You just need to have the appropriate code for the addSeedDocuments()
method that makes use of the times that are passed to you.
