they used twitter-bootstrap; with fluido-skin we can, but we have to
play with xdocs - apt is a little too limited (we cannot assign
different styles to html elements...)

Good idea. Maven definitely needs a new look including a good log. How
about using something like 99designs.com in addition and if we find a
winner via it just raise the needed money..
