I wanted to jump in here and see if we can't resolve the problem of
the shared (or core) code so we can get started on the reorg.
I'm definitely -1 on having a separate core.jar/share.jar file. I'm
not sure if anyone is proposing that but I'm against that idea. We
don't have that now and IMO

It looks like you'll need to submit an infra issue for this. I used to be
able to futz with the wiki, but the perms seem to have changed (generally,
not just for MyFaces) to be much more restrictive. Don't forget to include
the error info in the issue.

somehow, this whole wiki is not at its best, I would say... When I was
editing the summer of code proposals, whenever I logged in and clicked
on a link, I was immediately logged out again.
I had to use the find page mechanism to get to the page while being logged in.
