preparation for the release, I noticed that the current support branch

Thanks David. I agree it makes sense to put together a 1.23 release. I did just
push up a PR for another bug that will be important to get into this release:
NIFI-11783 [1].
Here, it can cause the framework to not properly handle retries for some
processors.
