Thanks.
We have now introduced a hard coded selection of locationEnumTypeId's. When an
adopter/uses a new kind he'll experience that he can't transfer from there and
he'll need to dive into the code to have it fixed.
I will reopen this issue.

as 'transfer to' location of product and there are only these three type of
possible locationTypeEnumIds, so patch is allowing to transfer inventory from
all types inventory item location.
> Allow inventory transfers based
ly a requirement. The user should be able to transfer inventory in any
kind of location in a facility or across facilities.
This piece of code is limiting the user experience more than being able to
transfer inventory to the wrong kind of location.
> Allow inventory transfers based on Product
looks good to
me. Just need to remove inventory item lookup as it was not working because it
is not designed for generic purpose. So removing the inventory item lookup and
uploading the updated patch for the same.

course if we are considering a transfer out of the company this would be false.
But I think a transfer is always between company's facilites.

have the item to promise to the order.
Just some thoughts to hopefully view the issue in a different light.

waiting for transfer looks the same. Item waiting transfer is like no item, or

"Require
Inventory = Y" for Demo Ecommerce Store, you will notice that this item cannot
be ordered(then cannot be reserved), because ATP is decreased due to inventory

Please take a look at the video I just uploaded.
I'm not sure that IID is the answer or if the reserveProductInventory method
should check for pending transfers manually.

happens in the scenario that you have described?
By the way, I agree that we should create InventoryItemDetails entries for
inventory transfers as well (is this that you are suggesting?)... in my opinion
InventoryItemDetails should be created to log all the relevant chang
, if you create a sales order for the same item, I think the system
would reserve the inventory item which should be transferred against the sales
