Getting a persistence exception using openjpa jta datasource

I'm getting the following exception when trying to persist data using a jta configured data source openjpa-2.2.0-r422266:1244990 fatal general error org.apache.openjpa.persistence.PersistenceException: invalid authorization specification - not found: root My datasource is listed in tomee.xml
