Hmm.. GNU-cp.. wouldn't that be the GNU-version of the standard cp
copying-program? .. I observed having a gcp in my path..
/usr/local/bin/gcp ... that might perhaps be what your looking for? ..
perhaps if the configure-script thinks it's called gnu-cp you could

I tried a search on gnu.org for gnucp and got "not found" result!
