found the problem. apparently the 1.0 job also got switched to maven3. But owb-1.0.x isn't ready for maven3 yet because the old checkstyle-plugin just doesn't work with maven 3 [1] So how to proceed? Move the 1.0.x branch also to the new checkstyle rules and upgrade to maven-checkstyle-plugin-
