I have found one problem with the rc5 tar ball:
This tar ball contains mac ._XXX files. This files causes the build to
fail on UNIX.
...
cp Apache.pm ../blib/lib/Apache.pm
cp ._Apache.pm ../blib/lib/._Apache.pm
Manifying ../blib/man3/Apache.3
/usr/local/bin/perl5.8.9_32 "-I../blib/
