Yes, this would be something of an issue for developer desktops.
Obviously no-one is going to use XP fo

Looking at the docs CLFS seems to be supported only since Windows 2003
which I think would exclude the many XP systems out there, so that might
not be so good.

Hello! I'd love to promote qpid on OS X as well - but find myself in
much the same boat as you. We run the C++ broker on RHEL at work, and
I'm involved with java clients. I've built the java client & broker
happily on OS X so far...but that's about all I'm afraid. I wish my C+

Hi Dave
CLFS is neat and probably blisteringly fast on Windows.
I'm not aware of the current design of the C++ Qpid storage subsystem and how
much smarts it requires (in particular does it need/supply indices for
selectors on persistent messages queued to disk?).
If its just a linear log then u

I didn't get details on how to build a A-A cluster in Qpid C++. Except in FAQ.
Where can I find it? I will appreciate if someone points it out.
Yes. I found some document about Federation and qpid-route. But I think
federation and cluster are totally different concept, aren't they?
Thanks.

I believe the broker will need additional code to properly react to
the Windows Service controls. If you could help with these items for
Good point. Do you think this should be a part of the broker itself, or
do you think it should be done with a service control "wrapper"? This is

Everyone,
Would it be beneficial to have the installer do the following:
1. Create a service user
2. Register as a Windows service
A while back I created Windows installers for the xTuple ERP application
that did those things for Postgres. It shouldn't be that difficult to do
for Qpid.

Steve,
Nicely done, do you know how to get the artefacts into the dist dir,
and link to download page etc?

I also added my key to the qpid KEYS file in svn.
I don't believe I have access to edit the wiki or load a file onto
www.apache.org/dist/qpid - how do I request those be done, or get
access so I can do it?

Hi Shan,
It would be nice to have the ability to configure your test routine
using a parameter to define the test message length.
Instead of using a fixed message you could serialize in the message
body a byte (or char) array whom length is defined at test startup.
So keeping constant all other
