FreeBSD still has some socket issues BTW.
Users with latent concurrency bugs are also likely to have these
exposed, so should test user code thoroughly.

Seems reasonable to specify JDK8 only. So far as I know, it’s generally
available, even on Linux distributions. I’d run it past the user list just to
