Yes, it supports signed OAuth requests on the /rest and /rpc endpoints.
See SampleOAuthServlet for the requestToken/authorize/accessToken endpoints.

Looks like there is an implementation of MessagesHandler in php shindig.
I'm unsure why this would be failing -- can some of the PHP folks answer
