We have several options, and neither are IMO perfect:
- postpone adopting bnd 7 until we really need it (but it may be painful to
do it in a rushed way)

Probably the release version requiring Java 17 should be 60 (to leave room
for potential Java 8 compliant bugfix releases) or we generally switch the
versioning pattern here...
