What about adding an
outputStream ?
For example, in one application I generate a PDF file using iText's
PdfWriter class and it takes an outputStream. This output stream can
then be copied to servlet output.

2.0.11.3 sounds good to me as well, but why not release
2.0.12 with some additional patches, like the freemarker
lib update.
Since it took that long to get out the fast track release,
another 3 days for voting wouldn't be an issue for me..
